About Us

Prince Rupert Constructors is a majority indigenous owned construction company formed between John Helin and JJM North Coast Construction Ltd. Our goal is to strengthen First Nations communities by completing heavy civil & marine construction projects that maximize employment and training opportunities for indigenous people in the area.


As a member of the Lax Kw’alaams, Mr. John Helin, has long been a respected leader within the broader First Nations communities, including holding the mayoral office in Lax Kw’alaams. Over his career, Mr. Helin has worked with local, national, and international business leaders representing First Nations interests, engagement and well-being. As a leader of Prince Rupert Constructors, Mr. Helin’s priorities are the engagement, recruitment, and development of First Nations employees.

JJM North Coast Construction Ltd., and its parent company JJM Construction, have undertaken over 1,000 major construction projects in BC, Alberta, Northern Canada and the Pacific Northwest, with projects ranging in value up to $100 million and with a total unadjusted value of over $1.3 billion.
